About Tomorrow Sleepwear

Hi. I'm Krista Nannery, and I'm the founder of Tomorrow Sleepwear. Tomorrow Sleepwear makes travel-inspired, sustainably-crafted sleepwear that gives back.

I was a first-generation college student, and I can say without a doubt that studying abroad in Innsbruck, Austria when I was 19 years old totally and completely changed the course of my life. It led me to an international career that touched all corners of the globe, including 11 years in London.

But I also know how hard I worked to make my study abroad experience happen. I took every shift I could get at my summer job at the beach (earning a whopping $7.50 an hour) so I could enjoy my time in Europe and see what I could see.

And I saw a lot. (By train, because in the 90s you just didn't fly around Europe like you do today.) But it was hard. I remember pinching every penny (pfennig actually) and surviving on bread and cheese, no matter the country.

Still, I was lucky. I was abroad for an entire academic year. And while money was pretty tight and I spent a lot of time worrying about it, I still managed to have a great time.

However, I know a lot of young people today just don't have the financial resources to pursue international programs. When you add it all up, studying abroad is just too expensive.

This is one of the reasons why I started Tomorrow Sleepwear. Every year, we'll donate 10% of our profits from our travel-inspired pajamas to organizations that help low-income and first-generation American college students pursue international experiences.

They say that travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer. I hope my pajamas can play a small part in enriching the lives of those bold enough to embark on the life-altering experience of studying abroad.
